Graham Patterson


Born in Sydney 1954. Graham started his working life as a machinist, working in metals. While studing to be an industrial arts teacher he discovered the intrigue and beauty of wood. Teaching by day and learning new skills and machinery in his workshop by night.

Graham and his family moved to Coffs region in the early eighties, still teaching, Graham joined a small and dynamic group, the mid North Coast Woodworkers, being their President for 2 years.

In 1989 he left full time teaching to work more seriously in this wonderful medium ... Wood.

In recent times Graham won an award for furniture made from a green timber brick pallet and has had a wine table placed in the Henry Kendall collection for fine wood.

He now has a thriving business making tophies including National and International sailing regattas, Pittwater to Coffs yacht race and many others.

He teaches part time in Furniture Design at Coffs education campus and designs then custom makes furniture and gallery pieces in Australian timbers at his Dairyville home workshop.
